Clive Barker says Hellraiser: Revival has reignited ideas for the film franchise

Reported: Clive Barker is thinking about more Hellraiser films after Revival

Evidence label: Reported. In an interview published by Deadline on October 17, 2026, Hellraiser creator Clive Barker said the newly released Hellraiser: Revival game was a “wake-up call” for people involved with the franchise. He added that he has “many ideas” he would like to see realized in the Hellraiser universe and is “planning to keep [his] fingers in that pie.”

That is meaningful as a creative signal, not a greenlight. Barker wrote and directed the 1987 original and produced Hulu’s 2022 reboot; Deadline’s report does not identify a new film title, distributor, director, cast, production start, or release date. The official Hellraiser: Revival site confirms the game as the current release context, but it does not announce a new movie.

Reel Radar is therefore treating this as Reported, not Confirmed: Barker’s interest is attributable, while a new feature remains an open possibility. The useful watch points are a formal studio announcement, a production attachment, or a rights/financing update—not fan extrapolation from the game’s release.

Timing: Deadline published its report at 4:25 p.m. ET on October 17, 2026.

Confidence

Medium for Barker’s stated interest; low for any specific future film. No new movie package or schedule was identified in the sources checked.
